Home staging - the DIY options - Part 2
A big part of successful home staging is theming otherwise known as ‘anchoring’. It’s all about choosing a simple visual focus or colour to bring some cohesion to your home staging project.
Part 2. Theming
When it comes to furniture, less is always best.
You only need enough pieces to anchor the room. For example a dining table and chairs in the dining room. A couch and coffee table in the living area.
Keep your colour palette as simple as you can. Remove complex images or items with multiple colours. If possible, introduce simple, single coloured items that complement the colour scheme on the walls. Simple colours and open, airy spaces, let potential buyers picture themselves living in the space.
Remember: a simple theme lets them dream. And it puts you one step closer to staging your home for a successful sale.
